Ticket Availabilty for Home Europa League Game
Hi,
Could one of the season ticket holders or members due me a favour and see what the availability looks like?
I'm an ex ST holder now relocated in the North so rarely get to home games now, but keen to take advantage of having a meeting in London on that day with train travel funded by my employer. Can't decide whether to fork out for a membership to guarantee a ticket or take my chances in the general sale tomorrow.
Thanks

I see the BML has been opened up today for general sale. So literally thousands of seats left all over the ground.

Think we'll still see our best ever attendance beaten, which is still impressive but not quite the 54,000 they wanted but the club will have to take a large proportion of the blame for the way they went about selling the match, especially to lower tier ST holders when it was thought the three sides would have to be shut.

I've just been on the website. Can't find any details for the ticket office opening hours or even the exact location.

If WHUFC employed me they wouldn't be in this mess Ern.

Feel free to point out where I'm wrong rather than skirting round the sidelines.

Re: Ticket Availabilty for Home Europa League Game
I see Clubman OtB is coming out with absolutely toilet wet lettuce apologies for the ticket office.

It's really very simple people:

The ticket office WAS run by WHUFC exclusively, it was behind the times technically and had some funny ways about it especially around allocations. Plus it was getting worse over the last few years in terms of its capabilities certainly noticeable after the departure of Steve Kitchner.

So it was running along a bit shit for a while and BERKS Inc decide they're too shit to take on the task of handling the OS so they enter into an outsourcing agreement with a Ticketmaster. Plus they wanted to make people redundant and save money but we don't talk about that part of the OS move.

Now, when it comes to outsourcing you get out of it what you put into it at the start. I say that as a 10 (TEN) year veteran of consulting for a FTSE100 outsourcer.

WHUFC have systematically FAILED at defining their business processes, articulating said processes, running every test from system test to performance testing and model office (look it up OtB) and holding their outsourced accountable in any way shape or form.

That is not the fault of the outsourcer, that is the fault of the WHUFC ticket office and management.

OtB works for the NHS, I've done consultancy for the NHS a couple of times for said FTSE100 and his attitude to this - which is his attitude to any fuck up at WHUFC - is SYSTEMATIC of public sector staff and why the NHS is haemorrhaging money all over the place.

No ownership, no thought, no accountablilty, pass the buck, no pride.

Poor.

I challenge anyone to spin what has been happening at the ticket office past my post above.

Our lower tickets weren't available at first so bought upper ones. Lower became available so I just bought two kids tickets for a tenner. Yeah it's an extra tenner but we can at least now see what the lower seats are like and have a half in each section.

Re: Ticket Availabilty for Home Europa League Game
To be fair, that's me. Whoever is to blame, someone at the club is ultimately accountable, probably someone very high up. I'm mostly defensive of the club on these things but this has been an utter mess and could see us failing to sell out our first game.

I've been away for nearly three weeks so I can't comment on anything that's going on, but whoever said below about the system not being up to it - WH don't design it, that's Ticketmaster.
